What documents are required to join?
Identity card or passport, GKI card (if available), residential address card, tax card, TAJ card.

How many days does the entire administration take?
We can tell you the date of the course 15-21 days after the application. If we participated in the course, the exam date is 15 days from that date. So in the optimal case You can take the exam within 30 days.

How many days is the course?
6 days for those participating in the basic training and 4 days for those participating in the advanced training.

How will we prepare for the course?
We provide online practice in advance, and then the it is advisable to come to the course with pen and paper.

How are the days divided during the course?
Day 1.: simulator exercise, Day 2-3-4.: Education (30 hours) Day 5-6.: Driving (for the basic training students)

Is course participation mandatory?
You have to report your presence every day via a so-called e-log, so it is mandatory.

How is education structured?
During the 3-day classroom education, with a demonstration and interactive involvement lessons are taking place. Education is conducted in Hungarian and English, with the assistance of an interpreter in other languages. The interpreter is present on the training days.

Do we practice the exam questions?
Of course yes, on the third day we also write an independent test, which are similar to the exam questions.

What does the exam consist of?
For basic trainees: Driving simulator, case study, oral, and writing a 3-topic test. – For advanced trainees: writing a 3-topic test.

What are the conditions for reporting to the exam?
All documents must be submitted to the clerks in their entirety. 3-day training registered with KAV, existence of simulator driving (5 hours), practical driving for basic trainees (10 hours).

How many questions are there in the exam?
40 questions per topic, which correspond to 40 points. So all questions are 1 accurate.

How many topics does the exam consist of?
Reasonable driving based on safety rules - Application of prescriptions - Health, road traffic and environmental safety, service, logistics.

How many mistakes can be made?
You can make 10 mistakes per topic.

What does the case study consist of?
It consists of 8-10 questions, the total value of which is 100 points. Of this, 60% must be completed. (60 points)

What do you have to do in a simulator exam?
The exam must be taken with the machine you have learned about in advance. The task that needs to be done in the exam varies. Tasks, e.g.: progress in a narrow corridor, slalom, road driving simulation and parking.

Will there be driving during the exam?
Of course, yes, but only for basic trainees.

How long is the traffic exam?
On average, it consists of 1 hour of traffic driving, but it also depends on the exam round.

What kind of car have to drive?
12 ton truck with manual transmission.

According to today's legislation, is it possible to obtain the GKI card without taking an exam?
It is possible if you apply for a continuing education exam and are a Hungarian citizen. As a foreign student, it is mandatory to take an exam. It could be paper-based in the classroom or a computer-based exam in KAV centers (it also depends on the language). This means that for basic training both in a foreign language and in Hungarian the exam is mandatory.
